Joint Injection
Musculoskeletal Injury accounts for a large volume of consultations to Irish General Practice. These presentations can vary from the young who are involved in active sport to the older patient with arthritis and a multitude of people in between. Sometimes these injuries require further imaging such as X-ray and/or MRI but most often they will be managed by ourselves here in the surgery. Management options vary with the type of injury but if indicated we can provide injections of steroid for the following conditions:
Arthritis of the Knee
Frozen Shoulder
Rotator cuff injury of the shoulder
AC Arthritis of the Shoulder
Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
De Quervain's Tenosynovitis (tendonitis at the wrist)
Tennis Elbow
Golfer's Elbow
Trigger finger
