Contraception

There are many options available to women including:

• Mirena Coil

• Implanon ('The Bar')

• Combined Oral Contraceptive ('The Pill')

• Progesterone Only Pill ('Mini-pill')

• Depo Injection

• Transdermal Patch

• Vaginal Ring

All of these options are available here in River Clare Family Practice. Dr Cróna fits and removes the coil.

If you wish to have the coil inserted please make an appointment for counselling initially and the coil and if deemed suitable the coil will be inserted at a later date.

For implanon insertion please advise that you wish to have same and we will provide a prescription and arrange for it to be inserted at the practice.
